About the author

Stefan van der Stigchel is Professor of Cognitive Psychology at the Department of Experimental Psychology at Utrecht University. He is also the principal investigator of AttentionLab, a research group that studies how attention and visual awareness shape our perception of the world. He is the author of several books, including How Attention Works, Concentration, and Beter Leren Kijken. His work has been translated into multiple languages and published in English by MIT Press.
